Founded in 2010, the TTGBC is a member-driven organization and the most significant advocate of sustainable design in Trinidad & Tobago. Our mission is to transform the way our country’s buildings and communities are designed, built, and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life. From our incorporation documents, we remain dedicated to the fostering of Green Building Practices in Trinidad and Tobago and including:

• The development of programs to educate professionals and the general public in Green Building practices.
• Cooperating with non-governmental agencies in the promoting of green building practice.
• Advising governmental agencies on Green Building practices.
• Representing professionals involved in Green Building practices.
• Developing Green Building best practices and standards.
• Contributing to the development of codes for Green Building practices
• Any other activities which will fulfill the aims and objectives of the company.

Some of our immediate aims and objectives do also include;

• Increasing the public’s awareness of Green Buildings
• Promoting green culture amongst professional designers, operators, and users.
• Advising on and promoting the availability of green products and technologies.
• Educating and certifying individuals interested in sustainable building practices.
• Creating and promoting interactions amongst Government, Utilities, Building owners, and users.
